Overview

Welcome to the PORTAL, your place for Peer Online Resources for Tutoring And Learning. PORTAL is our new service offered at the Academic Success Center starting in Fall 2024. We are working on making learning resources more accessible to our USF undergraduate students. Through PORTAL, you can schedule online tutoring appointments with knowledgeable USF peer tutors who have previously taken the courses they tutor.

How online tutoring works

Scheduling Appointments

  • You can schedule an online tutoring appointment by clicking Make an Appointment on the ASC homepage. For a step-by-step guide on booking through Accudemia, visit the Book An Appointment page.

Courses Availability

  • This service is open to all USF undergraduate students enrolled in selected courses. For a complete list of available courses, visit the Online Tutored Courses page.
  • You can schedule up to 2 online appointments per week, with each session lasting 50 minutes.
  • If you need additional assistance, visit the Tutoring Hub (LIB206), located on the second floor of the USF Tampa Library, for drop-in tutoring. No appointment is required, but service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • To ensure a productive tutoring session, please review the Online Tutoring Expectations before your appointment. This guide includes tips on what to prepare in advance and important guidelines to follow during the session.
