U.S. Issued Patents
USF is 14th among American public research universities and 34th among all universities worldwide in generating new patents in Calendar Year 2023. In Fiscal Year 2024, 90 new U.S. ​Patents were issued to USF.
Disclosures
USF had 267 new disclosures in FY 2024 and recently launched the Inventor Portal to make the disclosure process faster and easier for USF faculty, staff and students.
License/ Options Agreements
USF executed 107 license and option agreements in FY 2024.
Startup Companies
USF had 13 new startup companies in FY 2024, ranking USF in the top 15 percent nationally for facilitating University startups.
