Bio:

Tonia Torres, an alumna of the Patel College of Global Sustainability and has been an Environmental Specialist I with the City of Tampa Water Department Water Conservation team since 2020. With extensive experience in community outreach, she is passionate about working with youth and actively engages all generations on the importance of water conservation.

Ryan Smith has also been on the Conservation and Efficiency Team for the City of Tampa Water Department since 2020. Prior to that he worked for the Florida Department of Health in the Safe Drinking Water program. He is a graduate of the Patel College of Global Sustainability with a Master of Arts in Water Sustainability and a Graduate Certificate in Climate Change. He also has a Graduate Certificate in Applied Biostatistics from the USF College of Public Health. Along with working on public outreach and education on water conservation, Ryan performs data analysis to provide new insights into how our community can better save water.
