Visiting Scholar Engagement

USF World is dedicated to supporting the academic and social opportunities for our Visiting Scholars. We want you to be able to meet your professional goals while also experiencing U.S. culture and sharing your own culture. Please review the resources provided below.

Academic

To help you achieve your goals, we partner with numerous offices and organizations to support your academic endeavors. Some of these are listed below.

Social

USF Athletics

USF World has partnered with USF Athletics to offer Visiting Scholars the opportunity to attend several USF sporting events for free! This is a great way to experience US collegiate culture, build camaraderie with the USF community, and have a great time! Free ticket offerings are communicated through Homebase and are for multiple sports throughout the semester

Potluck

During the Winter and Summer Breaks, USF World hosts an ! A 'potluck' is a communal gathering where each guest contributes a different, often homemade, dish of food to be shared. The casual atmosphere and good food brings together all of our visitors. Pictures of each event can always be found

Adventure Trips

USF World is partnering with Outdoor Recreation to offer Adventure Trips for our Visiting Scholars! While Visiting Scholars always have the opportunity to go on any standard Adventure Trip, these special offerings will be exclusively for Visiting Scholars. Adventure Trips could be hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, camping, and more. These opportunities will be communicated through Homebase.

Homebase Communities
