USF is home to nearly 1,400 student veterans. They are among roughly one million college students with military backgrounds nationwide. USF has recently adopted a “veteran inclusive” approach that recognizes veterans’ experiences and viewpoints and incorporates them into everyday campus life.

Military couple soaring to new heights at USF
After spending 10 years in the military, Air Force fighter pilots Captain Zach Eastman and Major Liz Eastman are now in their second to last semester at USF. The married couple is currently serving as flight instructors all while working to complete their online Master of Business Administration.

USF selected to host hundreds of young inventors from across the state in annual competition
The University of South Florida was named the official Florida state affiliate for Invention Convention Worldwide, a competition from The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. The program will give students statewide the opportunity to showcase their inventive projects, compete for awards and potentially advance to the national competition.
