Location of new Student Health and Wellness Center to help improve emergency response times

The USF Medical Response Unit has expanded its presence at USF with first responders stationed on both sides of the Tampa campus. It’s now headquartered at the Student Health and Wellness Center while maintaining its space in the USF Health College of Nursing building.

A new street mural on the USF St. Petersburg campus has been painted between the University Student Center and Student Life Center – melding geometric figures with school spirit. It was painted by a graphic arts faculty member along with 10 students and was part of the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival.

New Student Health and Wellness Center provides students hands-on training, improved campus services

It’s one of the most modern buildings on campus, and its design is reflective of a post-COVID-19 era. USF’s new three-story, 47,000-square-foot Student Health and Wellness Center is nearly four times the size of the old Student Health Center, which had been located near the USF Tampa bookstore since 1980.

The Tampa Bay community is invited to join students, alumni, faculty and staff at dozens of events, including a concert, carnival, talent show, parade and the USF football game against Florida Atlantic on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Raymond James Stadium.
