RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Naeini’s research interests include leveraging data analytics, network science, signal processing, graph signal processing and graph-empowered machine learning to integrate security and reliability measures into the design and control of cyber physical systems and critical infrastructures, with a focus on smart grids. Her recent work focuses on enhancing situational awareness to various cyber and physical stresses in power systems, including cascading failures, employing graph signal processing and graph neural networks. 


BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Naeini began in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of South Florida in Fall 2017. She received her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of New Mexico in 2014. She obtained her MSc and BSc in Computer Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in 2009 and Sharif University of Technology in 2007, respectively. She was the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award in 2023 and is an IEEE Senior Member since 2020.
