Emma "Rose" Stevenson

Emma "Rose" Stevenson earned her B.A. in Psychological & Brain Sciences and Criminal Justice from George Washington University and her MSW from the University of South Florida. Her professional experience includes her work at People Empowering & Restoring Communities (PERC) in transitional housing case management, court-ordered mental health and anger management evaluation, and as an outpatient counselor in PERC’s sex offender treatment program. Rose has also worked as a research assistant at the National Reentry Network for Returning Citizens, reviewing reintegration needs for returning citizens and Allies for Healing, evaluating a comprehensive trauma-informed sex education program.

Rose’s professional and research interests include treatment for individuals who have engaged in inappropriate or abusive sexual behaviors, treatment needs for special populations of sex offenders (females, veterans, etc.), and strategies to improve successful reintegration for returning citizens.

When not in classes, Rose enjoys reading sci-fi books, playing video games, drawing, and spending time with her cat, Schrödinger.
