In 2022, USF alumni Yijie Zhu graduated from the School of Geosciences with a PhD in geography, environmental science, and policy. Zhu spent most of his childhood growing up in the coastal city of Shanghai, China. As a child, he recalls always having a curiosity about nature rather than television or toys.

Spring CAS grads share student experience and look ahead to the future

The University of South Florida (USF) awarded more than 7,100 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. The ceremonies included recipients of 5,430 bachelor’s, 1,492 master’s, 221 doctoral degrees and eight specialist degrees. The College of Arts and Sciences accounted for over 2,000 of the total degrees awarded.
